Yapılış Tarihi | 18 March 2024, Monday

Teknofest

Our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Sevilay ÖZER touched upon the importance of the Çanakkale front on the 109th anniversary of the Çanakkale Wars. Çanakkale was one of the fronts where the Allied Powers and the Ottoman Empire fought during World War I. Beyond that, the Çanakkale Wars are both a historical turning point and one of the significant developments that affected world history. The positive outcome achieved under the circumstances reached a dimension that far exceeded the scope of a defensive war, not only in terms of the defended region and country but also in shaking and changing the world balances. Its effects were seen in many areas, not just in one field, but politically, socially, culturally, and economically.

Prof. Dr. ÖZER, who touched upon the importance of the Çanakkale Wars being in two stages, sea and land, concluded her speech by saying, "We commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and his comrades-in-arms, our commanders and soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend the homeland lands, with mercy and gratitude." Following our Dean's speech, a documentary about the Çanakkale Wars was watched, and after the exhibition about the books on the Çanakkale Wars was visited, the event ended.
